Morrocan Attire

Traditional Moroccan Costume is preferable for the Special Evening in the Desert, specifically caftans for the ladies and a Moroccan Jabador for the men.

You may bring your own traditional garments for the JLR Awards Dinner or JLR will provide rental clothing for this unique evening. For rentals please click on the link below to select your garment preference.

Caftan Options (Women)

Gandora Options (Men)

Please remember the garment number at the top of the photos in the above link as you will be asked for the garment number when you are registering as well as your preferred size.

Men will wear their own pants and shirt with their Moroccan gandora.

Footwear: women should wear low heeled or flat shoes suitable for the rocky, carpeted Palm Grove, and consider a light shawl for the cooler evening temperatures. Men should wear any footwear that will be comfortable outdoors on carpeted ground.

Atlas Mountain Travel Attire

Temperatures are much colder in the Atlas Mountains, so we recommend jackets, hats, and gloves. Wear comfortable walking shoes or sneakers, breathable clothing with layers for changing temperatures, a hat and sunglasses for sun protection, and bring a small backpack for essentials, modest attire (shoulders and knees covered) is recommended when visiting local homes.

Berber Village Visit

When visiting local areas and especially on our visit to the Berber Village, it is helpful to be mindful of local customs. Morocco is a liberal Muslim country, and locals are used to seeing tourists and are known for their welcoming and friendly attitude toward visitors to their country. We do, however, recommend dressing on the more conservative side in order to respect the local culture.
