PASSPORT AND VISA

To enter Greece, you will need a passport which must be valid for at least three months longer than the date you plan to leave Greece. Customs will require two complete pages in your passport for processing your entrance and return. Please ensure your passport has adequate pages. US citizens do not need a visa if the visit is less than 90 days.

We recommend that you make photocopies of your passport. Be sure to leave one copy at home with family members and carry one copy in your purse and/or luggage. If your passport is lost or stolen, this will make the re-issuing of your passport much easier. We would also like you to scan your passport and upload it to your registration record or email a copy to the JLR Concierge at concierge@jlrprideandpinnacle.com. This will help expedite your check-in process when you arrive at the hotel.

CURRENCY

Visa and Mastercard are the most widely accepted credit cards in Greece, so it's best to bring one of those. American Express is also accepted at various locations, but Discover cards are less widely accepted.

CELLULAR PHONE SERVICE

US/Canadian cellular phones will work while in Greece but roaming fees will apply.  Prior to arriving, contact your cell phone provider to add an international plan or ask what international rates will apply. We recommend downloading the complimentary app WhatsApp which allows guests to text and make calls with Wi-Fi or data.

SECURITY

Greece is considered a low-risk country for travel, but petty crime is common in tourist areas. To stay safe, you can take normal precautions and be aware of your surroundings. We STRONGLY suggest that you leave all valuables, including expensive watches and jewelry, at home. There will be an in-room safe at all properties and you should keep your passport in the safe during your stay.

TIPPING

Gratuities for all JLR-hosted events, including hotel, are included in the program. However, if you are traveling in Greece on your own, the rule of thumb is 10%.

LANGUAGES

The official language of Greece is Greek, but English is widely spoken by locals.
